About

UNC Charlotte is the lead institution of the Intelligence Community Center for Academic Excellence (IC CAE) in Security and Intelligence Studies that includes Johnson C. Smith University, South Carolina State University, and Winston-Salem State University. The consortium provides students with academic and experiential programs to reach sound conclusions in the face of uncertainty, understand the complex and changing international security environment, and assess the role of intelligence in a democratic society. Our research and teaching seeks to heighten public understanding of security intelligence issues and increase minority student participation in our programs. We host an annual colloquium, events, and experiential learning opportunities open to all students and faculty, and provide students with mentoring, research, and experiential opportunities.

For more information about IC CAE check out the Office of the Director of National Intelligence’s IC CAE Program Office website.
